Special Teacher at Pajala Municipality

Pajala Municipality is the large (in area) small municipality located in the land of the northern lights and the midnight sun – Tornedalen, in eastern Norrbotten. JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

As a special teacher, you will work directly with students in grades F-9 who need support and stimulation, both individually, in groups, and in class. You contribute to helping students achieve the highest possible level of goal fulfillment based on their capacity. You will collaborate closely with the student health team and work teams.

You provide support and guidance to the teachers in the work teams. You will also systematically work with the municipality's routine for screening and interventions related to screening results. You can independently process results and analyze them together with the teachers of the grade to adapt teaching based on the results. You have the ability to create security and good relationships with students, guardians, and educators. As a special teacher, you will enjoy a varied job where you and your colleagues design a safe learning environment with the students' best interests in focus.

The work is conducted in collaboration with school management at the schools and other student health personnel. The work also involves collaboration with students, guardians, school staff, as well as organizations and authorities outside of school.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for someone who is a licensed teacher and has a degree as a special teacher (mathematics is an advantage). The work is independent and requires curiosity and interest, as well as the ability to want to develop the educational activities. You have good collaborative skills and work from a relationship-oriented approach in contact with students, guardians, and colleagues. As a person, you have a good ability for self-leadership, are structured, and have a great interest in development work. You work goal- and result-oriented and feel confident in planning and documentation. You are well-versed in current research in your field and are active in the work of developing the units' student health efforts where the various professions of the schools participate.

The stationing location is Pajala central, where a B driver's license is required to be able to transport yourself between the municipality's various units.
