Business Description

Hedskolan is a K-6 school with an adapted primary school that has 3 parallel classes, approximately 500 students, and 100 staff members. We are centrally located in Gällivare municipality within walking distance to the sports hall, swimming pool, etc. Hedskolan has a well-structured approach to collegial learning that encompasses all parts of the curriculum. We can therefore offer continuous skills enhancement from driven process leaders, PAX and IBIS instructors, and IT educators. The starting point for you as a teacher is to work with planning, teaching, evaluation, and value-based work based on the curriculum. The work is carried out both independently and together with colleagues in the middle school. As a preschool teacher/K-3 teacher with us, you will work with our students in preschool class.

Job Responsibilities

You will be the teaching responsible teacher in a preschool class. You will be part of both work teams and subject teams where you, together with other educators, are responsible for all students' learning in the work team.

Qualifications

We are looking for someone who is a licensed preschool teacher or teacher for grades K-3. You need to have knowledge of handling computers and technology in your daily work. You should be responsible, clear, and driven, and have an easy time building good relationships with students, guardians, and colleagues. Engagement, innovation, interest in and ability to collaborate are qualities that the school values. Great emphasis is placed on personal suitability. Within the framework of the national minority language law, Gällivare municipality is the administrative municipality for Sami, Meänkieli, and Finnish. Knowledge of any of these languages is an asset when applying for employment in Gällivare municipality.

A police record extract is required before employment.

Working Hours/Duration

Full-time, permanent employment. A probationary period may be applied.
