We are looking for a new colleague with a focus on outdoor pedagogy. As an outdoor educator, you will be responsible for project-based & learning activities in the forest, in the local area, and in the community. The starting point is the children's interests, the curriculum, and the developmental areas prioritized at BarnCompaniet. The work involves planning, preparing, and conducting teaching and activities, but also, together with other colleagues, ensuring that play, exploration, and creativity are available for the children at our various sites.

With us, there are educators with different specializations, such as project educators, atelieristas, outdoor educators, and sports educators. We have a project-based approach together with our children and believe it is important for our children to encounter and learn in many different contexts. The preschool BarnCompaniet is a staff and parent cooperative run as a non-profit economic association where parents and employees are co-owners, which allows for high participation. We are a Reggio Emilia-inspired preschool with rich and unique learning environments. At BarnCompaniet, we have our own kitchen where our chefs prepare meals from scratch, and we see nutrition as an important part of our operations. We invest energy and resources in targeted professional development and allocate a lot of time for reflection both individually and at team/group levels. We use pedagogical documentation as a tool to challenge children in their learning and to ensure the quality of our operations. With us, you will receive support and mentorship for your development.

We are looking for someone who has experience working with children of different ages in preschool. We are looking for team players with a high ability to work independently as the role of outdoor educator means you will be the driving force in the learning process. As a person, you are structured and capable of making your own decisions.

In our teams, we work closely together, which means there is an expectation of high work ethic regarding both your own profession and loyalty to your workplace and colleagues.
