About Östra School

At Östra School, about 200 students in grades 4-9 attend, and we work to develop teaching and increase students' knowledge. We are now looking for an engaged and knowledgeable special educator to become an important part of our student health work and contribute to a school where every student is given the opportunity to succeed.

STAY-ON INSURANCE

As a newly hired, permanent employee in Jokkmokk municipality for this position, we can offer you a Stay-on insurance if you meet the following criteria:

• You must not have previously held a permanent position with the same role.
• You are registered as a resident, or you register in connection with employment.
• You must not have received the municipality's scholarship for post-secondary studies.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

As a special educator with us, you will:

• Conduct educational assessments and investigations.
• Develop and follow up on action plans.
• Support colleagues in adapting and developing teaching based on students' needs.
• Contribute to the school's systematic quality work.
• Participate in and contribute to the student health team's joint work.
• Assist in transitions and collaborate with external actors as needed.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for someone who:

• Is a certified teacher and trained special educator.
• Has good knowledge of adaptations, special support, and inclusive working methods.
• Has experience working in schools, preferably within student health.
• Has a good ability to collaborate, lead development processes, and communicate clearly.
• Is solution-focused, analytical, and confident in your professional role.
