Teacher in Mathematics and Natural Sciences for Grades 4-6

We are looking for a teacher who wants to create meaningful learning experiences where students can explore, understand, and develop.

In your role, you will be the key to opening doors to new knowledge – helping students see patterns in mathematics and understand how nature works, from what happens right around the corner to the larger contexts.

Responsibilities

We are now looking for a teacher in Mathematics/Natural Sciences. The position includes planning, conducting, and following up on teaching in one or more subjects according to the curriculum. Assessing and/or grading students' knowledge, skills, and development. Documentation and reporting of students' results, absences, and other tasks are included in the assignment, as well as participating in parent meetings, development talks, conferences, and other meetings.

As an educational leader, you have an important task in creating a safe, stimulating, and democratic learning environment for students. The work involves significant collaboration with colleagues.

Mentorship is included in the assignment.

Qualifications

A degree and certification as a teacher in Mathematics and Natural Sciences are required for employment, as well as knowledge of the school's governing documents and curricula for your qualification.

Good pedagogical insights and the ability to collaborate and build good relationships with students and colleagues are required for the assignment. As a teacher, you need to feel secure and be able to be clear in your role.

Previous experience working with students in need of support is an advantage. We may also be interested in candidates with other educational backgrounds and can then offer a temporary employment according to the Education Act.

More about the position

Permanent employment, full-time. Start date 260812 or by agreement. Seasonal employment.

A criminal record check is required for employment within the school.
