Welcome to the Labor Market and Education Administration in Boden Municipality!

The Labor Market and Education Administration has a collective responsibility for integration, labor market, education, and employment issues concerning our municipality's residents. The administration is also responsible for the Cultural School and food supply, as well as fulfilling tasks for the medical and psychological part of student health in municipal preschool, primary school, adapted primary school, secondary school, and adapted secondary school.

Within the Cultural School, in addition to music teachers, there are also dance and drama educators. We regularly collaborate with organizations such as the Red Cross, World’s Children, the Church of Sweden, etc. El Sistema is part of our operations.

As a teacher at the Cultural School, you will belong to a cheerful and positive team of 16 people who work together to give children and young people in Boden the opportunity to acquire an extra language, a cultural expression. We are a cultural school in constant development and are looking for someone who is knowledgeable, flexible, and enjoys working with children and youth.

RESPONSIBILITIES

We are looking for someone who can substitute as a piano teacher during a period when our regular employee is on leave. Piano teaching for children and youth individually and in groups. Lead instruction at various levels and in different genres.

Actively participate in recruitment to build and maintain a stable student base. You are responsible for communication with your students and strive for good contacts with them and their guardians. Teaching is mostly scheduled during the day, but evening and weekend work may also occur. The position may involve participation in an orchestra, as an accompanist, but the main task is piano teaching.

The specified employment period may be extended if necessary.

QUALIFICATIONS

We consider it an advantage if you have a music teacher degree or other education/experience deemed equivalent. You have good pedagogical skills and a clear desire to help children and youth develop through cultural practice. Well-versed in various genres and styles. In your role, you should be able to awaken and build on the student's interest and inspire and adapt teaching to each individual's unique circumstances. You are creative, responsible, flexible, and well-organized, you work independently and also find it easy to collaborate with others. You have good knowledge and experience of working with digital tools, both pedagogical and administrative. We place great importance on personal suitability. A driver's license and personal vehicle are necessary as teaching takes place at schools in the municipality.

Please attach your teaching certification or diploma. A criminal record extract must be presented before employment in preschool and primary school.
