Preschool BarnCompaniet is looking for a project educator.

As a project educator, you will be responsible for a group of children together with a colleague. This work includes driving projects with the children based on their interests, the curriculum, and the developmental goals prioritized at BarnCompaniet, documenting, and being responsible for development talks and parent meetings.

In addition to project educators, we also have educators with other specializations such as atelier teachers, outdoor educators, and sports educators. This organization has been chosen to focus on professional development, utilize educators' diverse competencies, and allow you as an educator to focus on your part in the children's learning. We see these areas as important parts of children's development and learning, together forming a whole. We have a project-oriented approach with our children and believe it is important for them to encounter and learn in many different contexts. BarnCompaniet is a staff and parent cooperative run as a non-profit economic association where parents and employees are co-owners, allowing for high participation. We are a Reggio Emilia inspired preschool with rich and unique learning environments. At BarnCompaniet, we have our own kitchen where we prepare meals from scratch and view nutrition as an important part of our operations. We invest energy and resources in targeted professional development and allocate a lot of time for reflection both at the individual and team/group level. We use pedagogical documentation as a tool to challenge the children in their learning and ensure the quality of our operations. Here, you will receive support and mentorship for your development.

We are looking for someone who is a qualified preschool teacher or childcare worker and has experience working with children of various ages in preschool. You need to be a team player with the ability to work independently. As a person, you are structured, driven, and able to make your own decisions.

In the teams, we work closely together and depend on our colleagues taking responsibility for their professional duties. Therefore, you should have a strong work ethic and feel loyalty to your workplace, be flexible, and take responsibility in a collegial collaboration.
