Ringelskolan is a primary school for grades 4-6 located within walking distance of Arvidsjaur's center. Approximately 200 students attend here, and we have about 30 employees. In each grade, there are three classes for which the class teacher has the main responsibility. The class teacher teaches their own class but also teaches in the other classes within the work team/grade in one or more subjects depending on qualifications and needs. In addition to class teachers, resource teachers, teachers in practical-aesthetic subjects, student assistants, and student health personnel work in the operation. With us, there are teachers with long experience but also newly graduated ones. What we all have in common is that our hearts beat for the students.

The school is beautifully situated and thus invites outdoor activities. Nearby, there is a swimming hall, sports hall, and ice rink. Within walking distance, there is also a sports field that allows for athletics. Football fields and ski trails are also in the vicinity.

We are now looking for a music teacher to start in the spring of 2026. As a music teacher, you will teach students in grades 1-6 from three school units in Arvidsjaur Municipality; Tallbackaskolan, Parkskolan, and Ringelskolan. The students are primarily taught in Ringelskolan's music room.

Job Description

You will conduct structured teaching based on applicable governing documents, follow up and analyze your teaching and students' results. You are a clear leader in the classroom and dare to try new ways to constantly strive to improve your teaching. You work with high expectations and see good relationships with students and guardians as a natural part of your work. In collaboration with colleagues, you create good learning environments based on clear and low-affective leadership.

Qualifications

You who apply are a certified music teacher for the specified grades. You have a positive outlook and believe in each individual's desire to develop and learn. You are unpretentious and solution-focused and understand the benefits of working in a team and learning together. You collaborate with the school's student health team and have a good ability to create relationships with students, parents, and your colleagues. You are flexible and have the ability to work independently and goal-oriented.

You are a clear leader in the classroom who has structure and good pedagogical skills in teaching. You have experience actively working with value issues and you see the importance of students feeling good in school to be able to perform. We want you to have high expectations and a belief that all students can succeed. As a teacher, you adapt your teaching based on each student's unique conditions and see school development as a natural part of the teaching assignment.

You can motivate students to achieve good results in schoolwork by clarifying goals and knowledge requirements for them. You easily find forms of collaboration and see the work team and student health as an asset. We place great emphasis on your ability to create good relationships.
