The Department of Computer Science and Electrical Engineering conducts world-leading research and education with a strong experimental and applied profile. Our research subjects are within the fields of space technology, signals and systems, computer science, information systems, and industrial electronics. Here, you can train to become a Master of Science in Engineering in technical physics and electrical engineering, computer engineering, applied AI, or space technology. We also offer programs in game programming, system science, and digital service development, among others. Additionally, we have several international master's programs, such as in space and information security.

Job Responsibilities

The tasks vary and provide insight into the academic world. You will have ongoing contact with course responsible teachers. Examples of tasks include:

• Teaching support in undergraduate education (supervision of labs and exercises)
• Grading reports, submissions, and labs
• Course administration including reporting of grading materials
• Work in the learning platform Canvas
• Lead application exercises and discussions on study techniques
• Coach students for group work
• Develop and produce course materials as needed

Qualifications and Experience

We are looking for someone who is admitted to undergraduate or graduate education at LTU, preferably within the department's programs. Good subject knowledge is required, and it is advantageous if you have taken the course you will be teaching. You must be able to express yourself both orally and in writing in Swedish and English. Pedagogical ability and a genuine interest in teaching are important, and experience in similar work is an advantage. We make a holistic assessment with great emphasis on personal suitability.

Conditions

The employment is regulated according to the Higher Education Ordinance (HF 5 chap §10). You must be an active student throughout the employment period. The employment may correspond to a maximum of 50% of full-time. An employment can last for a maximum of one year at a time, but in total no more than three years.

Hourly Wage/Compensation

The compensation for teaching assistants is based on the student's academic merits:

Level 1 (<180 hp): 156 SEK/hour (approx. 25,700 SEK/month for full-time work).

Level 2 (≥180 hp): 171 SEK/hour (approx. 28,200 SEK/month for full-time work).

Information

The workload may vary over time and by agreement, but the goal is to distribute it in a way that is compatible with studies at the university.

The position's time period covers study period 4, VT26 (March to June) with the possibility of extension.

The extent of the position is planned in agreement with the current student based on interest and availability as indicated in the application. The current extent in hours is distributed over a three-month period to a percentage employment extent.

The position is placed in the research subject where most of the position's extent is found.
