Welcome to the Labor Market and Education Administration in Bodens kommun!
We have a collective responsibility for integration, labor market, education, and employment issues that concern our municipality's residents. The administration is also responsible for the Culture School and food supply and fulfills tasks for the medical and psychological aspects of student health in municipal preschool classes, primary schools, adapted primary schools, secondary schools, and adapted secondary schools. Torpgärdsskolan is located in a larger residential area about 5 km from the center of Boden, with its main catchment area - Bodsvedjan, Norrbyarna, Norra Svartbyn, Södra Svartbyn, and Torpgärdan. The school has approximately 300 students from preschool class to grade 6. We also have three after-school departments. Torpgärdsskolan has a large schoolyard with both forest and grass areas that provide children with space to play. Proximity to forest and nature contributes to the school's good opportunities for outdoor activities. At Torpgärdsskolan, we encourage active breaks as well as brain breaks and movement challenges during the school day. This is to give students the best conditions to absorb new knowledge and develop good social skills. At Torpgärdsskolan, we work to ensure that students have confidence in their own ability to learn and succeed. We work with collegial learning at the school to continuously develop our operations and base our work on current research and development.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
Do you want to help lead the continued development of student health work at the school? Do you want to develop in your role as a special educator/special teacher together with us?
We are looking for someone who wants to work as a special educator or special teacher at Torpgärdsskolan!
As a special educator or special teacher at Torpgärdsskolan:
- you work both preventively and remedially with a focus on language, writing, and reading development, neuropsychiatric disabilities, and/or mathematics development for students and student groups.
- you work to critically review and apply methods to assess students' development and adapt working methods based on students' needs.
- you are responsible for mapping and developing the Swedish language among students with a mother tongue other than Swedish.
- you participate in the school's student health team.
- you work closely with other staff at the school where mapping and pedagogical development work is one part and analysis work, guidance, and coaching of colleagues another.
- you are responsible, together with the school's special educator, for proposing and designing extra adaptations, special support, and other solutions so that students develop as far as possible towards both knowledge goals and other goals in governing documents.
- you have close collaboration with the school's special educator, student health, deputy principal, and principal.
QUALIFICATIONS
We are looking for someone who is a teacher and has a license/degree as a special educator or special teacher.
- You are familiar with the curriculum and other governing documents.
- You are self-reliant, responsible, and have good collaborative skills.
- You see opportunities in each child's individual development.
- You have the ability to create and maintain professional and trusting relationships with students, guardians, and colleagues.
- You have high communicative and interactive ability, are attentive, and have high motivation for the profession.
- You are flexible and have the ability for self-reflection and analysis.
- You express yourself well in speech and writing in Swedish and are used to working in various digital environments.
- You can prioritize, motivate, and lead others in student health work.
Experience is meritorious. Great importance is placed on personal suitability.
Interviews will be conducted continuously during the application period.

Please attach your teaching license or diploma. A criminal record extract must be presented before employment in preschool and primary school.
