Staffing Planner at SiS Youth Home Ljungbacken

The Swedish National Board of Institutional Care, SiS, is an authority responsible for individually tailored compulsory care for young people with complex psychosocial issues and for adults with substance abuse. SiS Youth Home Ljungbacken accommodates boys aged 16 to 20 years. The institution is located in Uddevalla.

Job Description

Do you want to work in a key role and contribute to the daily functioning of our operations? Apply for the position of staffing planner at SiS! The role has existed for a year at Ljungbacken and is part of SiS's new organization aimed at a more equitable and efficient working method throughout the organization.

As a staffing planner, you and your colleague will have the overall responsibility for staffing planning for all departments of the institution. You will be responsible for the operational planning of staffing shifts and coordinating the institution's staffing needs, both in the short and long term. The role also includes responsibility for the overall staffing planning before holiday periods and adjusting schedules as needed, for example, during rehabilitation or temporary part-time work. In addition to operational staffing planning, you will also be responsible for administering and being the institution's expert in the staffing system Besched. The work will involve independent work while having many points of contact and collaborations with employees, unit managers, and your closest colleagues, including HR generalists and administrators. You will have the opportunity to influence the authority's development work and working methods related to staffing and scheduling through a network of national expert functions and staffing planners at other institutions.

Qualifications

You have a good ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining an overview of the whole. You are attentive and structured and have a good ability to anticipate needs and plan your work accordingly. Since the need for personnel can change rapidly, you must be flexible and able to independently structure and prioritize your work. Your many points of contact also require you to have good communication skills and a high sense of service.

You should also have:

  • Relevant post-secondary education focused on administration or HR, or other education combined with work experience that SiS considers equivalent
  • Good knowledge of and understanding of legislation and regulations regarding working hours
  • Experience in staffing and scheduling
  • Good knowledge of the Office suite

Knowledge of personnel and staffing systems, such as Besched, is an advantage.

Employment:

The position is a permanent full-time employment starting with a six-month probationary period. Start date by agreement.

Working hours are daytime, Monday to Friday. Flexible working hours apply.
