The Adult Unit, which is part of the Individual and Family Care Administration, is now seeking a social worker for financial assistance. Here, social workers are tasked with receiving, investigating, and assessing the need for assistance for adults under the Social Services Act and the Care of Abusers Act. The work is led by a unit manager and two senior social workers, as well as a coordinator for domestic violence. Within the unit, we work proactively and preventively.

JOB DESCRIPTION

At the Adult Unit, you will work with social change and motivational work for individuals who, for various reasons, are without their own income. As a social worker in financial assistance, your mission consists of investigating the right to financial assistance based on current legislation, while supporting, motivating, and following up on the individual's plan to achieve self-sufficiency. You will decide on and follow up on labor market initiatives and work together with the individual and key partners to reach the goal of self-sufficiency. Your mission includes working preventively by early identifying the need for other support measures and collaborating with other actors, both internally and externally. You will have the opportunity to perform practical social work in meetings with citizens and engage in various tasks that promote both the organization's and your own development. It is an exciting and varied job where you make a difference every day.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for someone with a degree in social work or another equivalent education that the employer deems relevant. Previous experience in handling financial assistance or authority work is an advantage. We also consider it advantageous if you have experience collaborating with external actors, such as the Employment Service, the Region, and the Social Insurance Agency.

Furthermore, you have good knowledge of current legislation and can express yourself well in Swedish, both orally and in writing. If you have previously worked in the Lifecare operational system and have knowledge of MI (Motivational Interviewing), BIP, and Supported Employment, it is an advantage. A B driver's license is a requirement.
