Within individual and family care, open care and authority exercise for children, adolescents, adults, and elderly persons are included, and social services are divided into different units/responsibility areas. The assistance unit currently consists of eight social workers who work to meet people in need of support, including both seniors and younger individuals. We investigate, guide, and make decisions about support based on a health-promoting and preventive approach.

JOB DESCRIPTION
We are now looking for a social worker for the assistance unit focusing on LSS/social psychiatry. The position is split, where you will work with case management 75% of the time and as the lead social worker 25%.
As a social worker, you will handle applications and assess needs, inform, make decisions, and follow up on services for those entitled to assistance under the Social Services Act (SoL) or LSS. In your role, you will meet individuals with disabilities who have various forms of support needs in their daily lives. We also regularly meet relatives and guardians. We collaborate with service providers, such as housing support, various interventions in the implementation of LSS, other social services, authorities, and healthcare.
The workgroup consists of four social workers, including this position, and we work with children, adolescents, and adults. The investigative work includes receiving applications, investigating, making decisions, and following up on cases. The work involves a high degree of authority exercise with demands for legal certainty, a common approach, and equitable assessments. With your knowledge and a good attitude, you ensure that the individuals you meet receive the help and support they need to live a good and independent life like others.
As the lead social worker, you will have overall daily responsibility for case management according to SoL/LSS. The role includes leading/coaching the social workers in their daily work, and responsibility for the unit's methodological support. You will work closely with the unit manager and contribute to the development of the unit, which includes collaborating with internal and external stakeholders.
In the role of lead, you will be offered process guidance with other lead social workers within IFO, as well as other joint meetings.
QUALIFICATIONS
We are looking for someone who is a social worker or has another higher education that the employer assesses as equivalent. You have experience with disabilities and social psychiatry, as well as experience with case management according to the Act on Support and Service for Certain Disabled Persons (LSS) and preferably also according to the Social Services Act. Since the position involves administrative work, you need to have a good ability to express yourself in Swedish, both orally and in writing.
We consider it an advantage if you have experience working as a lead social worker within LSS/social psychiatry, as well as within care and nursing.
To fit the role, you need to be meticulous, structured, and efficient with your time. You work well with others by listening, showing interest, and respect. You understand the common mission and work to ensure it is carried out well, with both users, relatives, and your workgroup in mind. You see opportunities for beneficial changes and contribute to creating situations where new ideas and proposals can develop. You base your work on everyone's equal value and create a good atmosphere, both in meetings and within your own workgroup. In your role, you will face an exciting future with changes in the new SoL that will affect authority exercise.
You will introduce new social workers, conduct statistical follow-ups, and participate in the implementation of new working methods. Furthermore, you will review case management based on current legislation and guidelines. An important part of the assignment is to actively work for a good working environment in the group you are responsible for.
Before an offer of employment, an acceptable extract from the police criminal record must be presented.
A valid driver's license (B) is required for the position.
