Job Responsibilities

We are now looking for a social worker who wants to help develop the work against honor-related violence and oppression in the region.

In January 2022, the Regional Support Center for Honor was established. The support center is a collaboration between 10 municipalities in the region, the Police Authority, and VGR. The purpose is to increase accessibility to support and protection for individuals exposed to honor-related violence and to offer support and professional development to practitioners. The support center consists of a total of 10 employees. Most work as counselors, but two people are employed by the police authority and VGR.

Organizationally, you will be part of the Crisis and Relationship Unit, where you share a manager with the operations of Mikamottagningen, KAST, and Regional Coordinators against Prostitution and Human Trafficking. Through collaboration in the city-wide network, you have the opportunity to contribute to shaping the work on honor-related issues.

You will provide specialized knowledge in matters related to honor-related violence and oppression to detect and coordinate the need for interventions early. You will work to strengthen collaboration between the police, healthcare, social services, civil society, and other relevant actors.

Your work will also include providing support conversations and guidance to individuals and being a link between different municipal operations. You will provide support and guidance to other professionals in individual cases and in risk and safety assessments. An important part of the job is to participate in developing routines and methods for the issue and target group.

The assignment also involves informing about the operations and disseminating knowledge about the work with the target group. The Honor Support Center has educational responsibilities regarding HRV and offers a basic range that employees in Gothenburg and surrounding municipalities can sign up for, but also conducts a large number of commissioned training sessions each year. As part of the assignment, you will also hold training sessions and lectures together with colleagues.

You will be offered supervision to reflect on and develop your work.

Qualifications

You have a degree in social work or another qualification that the employer deems equivalent. You have very good knowledge of honor-related violence.

You have several years of work experience in direct work with individuals who are or have been exposed to honor-related violence and oppression, as deemed relevant by the hiring manager.

You have several years of experience working within social services; in children and youth, adults, or outpatient care, and you have good knowledge of applicable legislation (LVU/SoL). You also have experience collaborating with other authorities and organizations and the willingness and ability to participate in a developing organization.

It is an advantage if you have training related to HRV, e.g., Patriark. We also appreciate if you have further education with a systemic focus.

We would like you to have experience in disseminating knowledge about the work with the target group.

Since the work is needs-oriented, you need to be flexible and able to work independently while enjoying collaboration. You are goal-oriented, systematic, complete tasks, and follow up on results.

A very good attitude and communicative approach are prerequisites for the assignment.

We consider it an advantage if you have a B driver's license.

Welcome with your application!
