About the job

Do you want to make a real difference in the lives of children and young people by working closely with both foster homes and placed children?

One of our social workers is going on parental leave, and we are therefore looking for a new colleague.

The foster care group is responsible for children/youth placed in foster care as well as the recruitment and supervision of task holders. In the work group, there are social workers who work combined with assignments as child social workers and foster care social workers. The work group receives external supervision, and there is also a senior social worker in the group responsible for everyday leadership and support. The unit is led by a unit manager.

Job Responsibilities

In the role of the child's social worker, you are responsible for the authority's actions regarding the child according to SoL or LVU. You are responsible for monitoring the placement and contacts with the biological network. You also have external contacts with, for example, preschool/school and health care based on the child's needs. The social worker works in a team with the foster care social worker.

The role of the Foster Care Social Worker means that you support and guide foster parents in their task of being foster homes. It also involves recruiting, investigating, and training foster homes, as well as closely collaborating with the child social worker to follow the placed child in the foster home. Within the unit, task holders who want to become Extra Adults or contact families are also recruited and investigated.

Who are you?

We are looking for someone with a degree in social work. Previous experience in authority actions for children and young people is an advantage, as is experience in foster care.

We are looking for someone who is confident in their professional role, solution-focused, and has a good ability to plan and organize their work. You are a positive person with a strong commitment to children and young people in vulnerable situations.

Great importance is placed on personal suitability, and you should have a strong ability to collaborate both internally and externally. Since the position involves a lot of communication and documentation, you need to express yourself well in both speech and writing.
