We are looking for someone who wants a shared position, 50% child secretary and 50% investigative social worker.

Job Description

In our beautiful archipelago municipality, there are good conditions for conducting active social work. Our strength lies in the advantages of a small municipality with proximity and good collaboration between different actors. We believe in people's own abilities and strive to utilize their own resources and networks. The social services are undergoing a comprehensive transformation with our new Social Services Act. We are now expanding our workgroup and are looking for someone who wants to be part of Öckerö municipality's development journey towards a social service with increased accessibility and high-quality evidence-based methods.

As part of our development work, we will focus on quality assurance of our placed children and youth during the spring of 2026. Currently, there is one child secretary working alone with this task, and to enhance the quality work, she wishes for a colleague to share the responsibilities with. We have relatively few placements, so the remaining part of the position will be as an investigative social worker.

The child and family group consists of investigators, child secretaries, foster care secretaries, and caseworkers in family law. A common senior social worker will guide you in your daily work. You will work in a small social office where we help each other and have close collaboration between different workgroups. You will be part of a pleasant workgroup with good cohesion. You will be offered process guidance, wellness grants, flexible hours, and the possibility of some remote work.

Qualifications

A degree in social work is required. We prefer that you have experience in the role of an authority practitioner. It is advantageous if you have experience in investigative work and/or as a child secretary within Child and Family. You should have a good ability to collaborate both within and outside the administration, as well as good administrative skills. We highly value networking work, and it is an advantage if you have training in signs of safety.

You are used to working independently but enjoy working in a team. You can express yourself well in both speech and writing. In this workplace, we place great emphasis on the ability to provide good service and build relationships. Humor, patience, courage, and a positive outlook on life are other important qualities.
