JOB DESCRIPTION

Do you want to make a real difference for children and young people while being part of a unit that focuses on quality, development, and a sustainable work climate?

With us in the unit for Children and Youth, you will play an important role in providing children and young people aged 0-20 with the right support at the right time. We are now strengthening the operation through a clear focus on quality development and enhanced leadership, all to create even better conditions for you as an employee to do professional work with the child's best interests in focus.

Here we work together in teams through the entire processing process from the initiation of an investigation to decision-making and follow-up of interventions. The work includes investigations according to current legislation, where the best interests of the child are always at the center. This means mapping needs, compiling decision-making materials, making decisions, and following up on interventions both in outpatient care and in placements in HVB, support homes, or foster homes. You will encounter both short, urgent cases and long-term processes where the need for security and support is more extensive.

A varied and meaningful everyday life

As a social worker with us, you will meet children and young people, their families, and networks at different stages of life. You collaborate with schools, healthcare providers, other authorities, and colleagues to find sustainable solutions. The role also involves documentation, statements to other authorities, and active participation in our joint quality and method development.

Independence, support, and community

We offer a working environment where you receive both independence and strong collegial support. You have great freedom to plan and structure your workday, while being part of a team with engaged colleagues, leadership, and a unit manager close at hand. Our focus is on legal security, children's participation, and a professional approach, values that permeate the entire unit.

QUALIFICATIONS

Formal competencies:

  • We are looking for someone who is a trained social worker or has another higher education that the employer assesses as equivalent and has at least three years of experience working with authority exercise for children and young people.
  • You have a good ability to express yourself clearly and correctly in Swedish, both orally and in writing.
  • Since the job may involve travel, a B driver's license is required.

Personal competencies:

The position suits you who enjoy working in a structured and goal-oriented manner. You have solid experience and competence and want to contribute to the development of the operation. You feel confident in independently managing cases with high complexity and have the ability to share your knowledge to help others develop in their work. With us, you will play an important role in an engaged team focused on quality, collaboration, and the best interests of children.

There is room to plan and organize your own workday, while support, reflection, and community are natural parts of the work. You are confident and can feel secure in uncertain contexts, stand up for your own opinions, have the courage to speak out, and the ability to separate issues from people. We value a process-oriented approach and a willingness to contribute to an open exchange of knowledge within the team. With us, you will become part of a professional environment where security, respect, and quality are the focus.
