Burlöv is an exciting municipality in the growth region between Malmö and Lund. We have a close organizational culture that enables and emphasizes collaboration, innovation, and a sustainable work life. Together, we develop the operations and create value for our citizens.
Do you want to help build the attractive, accessible, sustainable, and safe Burlöv?
Culture and Leisure has the mission to promote a rich cultural, leisure, and association life. We work based on a common strategy where we focus on creating accessibility and inclusion, participation and co-creation, as well as breadth and excellence. Through personal experiences and meeting places, we build an attractive and sustainable municipality.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
Do you want to work closely with both youth and colleagues in a role where you can combine operational leadership with organizational development? Ung i Burlöv is now looking for a team leader who wants to take clear responsibility for daily operations and contribute to developing a meaningful leisure activity for the municipality's youth.
Ung i Burlöv works to create safe, inclusive, and developing leisure environments for youth in the municipality. Our operations are based on youth participation, relationship-building work, and informal learning, and take place in close collaboration both within the municipality and with external actors.
As a team leader, you are a key person in the operations and work closely with the unit manager and leisure center staff to ensure quality, structure, and development in daily work.
About the Role
The role of team leader means that you lead and coordinate the daily operations and are a clear employer representative in everyday life. You are responsible for ensuring that work flows smoothly, that structures and routines are followed and developed, and that the workgroup has the right conditions to carry out its mission.
You work in close dialogue with the unit manager, who has personnel, work environment, and budget responsibilities, and you are the deputy in the unit manager's absence. Work mainly takes place during the day, but some scheduled evening shifts are included, during which you are also present in the open operations.
Your assignment includes leading and coordinating the workgroup in daily operations. You hold regular work meetings, follow up on operations based on goals and the operational plan, and are involved in developing new goals together with the staff.
Job Tasks
You are responsible for scheduling, absence management, and staffing, including calling in substitutes and planning vacations. The role also includes administrative work related to operations, such as orders, invoice management, and other ongoing administrative tasks.
You participate in the recruitment and introduction of new employees and support staff in their individual development. You also participate in budget follow-up and budget planning and make independent decisions about purchases within given frameworks.
An important part of the assignment is collaboration, both internally and externally with, for example, schools, social services, and the police. At the same time, you are active in the open operations, where you work on relationship-building with youth, coaching them towards participation and supporting them in developing their own activities.
QUALIFICATIONS
We are looking for someone with post-secondary education, such as a leisure leader, educator, social worker, criminologist, or other education that the employer assesses as equivalent. You have solid experience working with youth and a very good understanding of what is required to run a qualitative, safe, and inclusive leisure activity.
You have extensive experience coordinating, structuring, and leading daily work in an organization without being a formal manager. You are confident in taking responsibility, making decisions in everyday life, and creating clarity in assignments, roles, and working methods. At the same time, you have a relationship-oriented, attentive, and inclusive approach that builds trust with both youth and colleagues.
