The Security Department is responsible for the overall safety and security work within the municipality. We work preventively, coordinating and supporting with the goal of creating safe environments for residents, employees, and visitors. As a safety officer, you are an important representative of Solna City in daily interactions with people.

Working hours may include day, evening, and weekend shifts according to a schedule.

What does the job involve?

As a safety officer, you primarily work preventively and relationship-building in Solna City's public environments. You do this based on the city's weekly situation reports according to the model of effective coordination for safety. Through visible presence, dialogue, and service, you contribute to increased safety and reduced insecurity.

Your tasks include:

  • Being present in the city's public environments such as central areas, school environments, parks, and other meeting places
  • Creating safety through good reception, dialogue, and support to the public
  • Preventing disturbances and noticing unsafe situations
  • Observing, documenting, and reporting incidents
  • Collaborating with the municipality's operations and external actors
  • Participating in safety-creating initiatives and events

Who are we looking for?

We see that you have:

  • Completed high school education
  • Good knowledge of Swedish in speech and writing
  • Basic digital skills for documentation and reporting

It is advantageous if you have:

  • Experience in safety, security, service, or social work
  • Familiarity with the effective coordination model for safety, abbreviated EST
  • Training in security, conflict management, or similar
  • Knowledge of additional languages
  • Driving license B

We are looking for someone who is secure, responsible, and has a high degree of personal maturity. You have a genuine interest in people and approach various situations with calm, good judgment, and professional demeanor. The role requires flexibility and the ability to quickly adapt to new conditions.

You collaborate easily with others and contribute to a positive work environment. Building and maintaining relationships comes naturally to you, and you instill trust through attentiveness and reliability. Your oral communication is clear and tailored to the audience, enabling dialogues that clarify and build trust.
