Professional Galaxy is looking for a Systems Safety Engineer for Command Systems on behalf of our client.

With us, you will have the opportunity to work where your expertise contributes to societal protection and develop system solutions for Sweden's defense. As a systems safety engineer with us, you will work on the development of advanced command systems and ensure that our systems meet the established requirements and expectations regarding systems safety and user protection. Systems safety is the discipline that ensures that technical systems do not cause unacceptable harm to people, the environment, or property by identifying, preventing, controlling, and mitigating hazards throughout the entire lifecycle – from idea and design to operation, maintenance, and decommissioning.

In this role, you will work through the entire development process and throughout the product lifecycle, where you •    analyze design and architecture, •    identify product safety risks, •    analyze and minimize risks, •    derive and manage safety requirements, and •    plan, execute, and follow up verification with documented compliance to requirements.

Your profile To thrive in this role, you are a self-driven and communicative person who is used to collaborating effectively with both team members and other stakeholders. You are structured and have a confident mindset that allows you to adapt to changing circumstances.

You are curious and constantly seek new knowledge to develop. You have good collaborative skills and can also stand your ground when needed. Flexibility and the ability to take initiative are also things you feel comfortable with. Additionally, you have very good knowledge in systems safety work and can be both detail-oriented and have a holistic view.

We are looking for you with: •    Master's degree in engineering or equivalent •    Good experience in systems work with systems safety •    Experience working according to an established standard in the field, e.g., H SystSäk 2011, MIL-STD-882E, GEIA-STD-0010, and DEF-STAN-0060 or equivalent •    Good knowledge of Swedish and English, both spoken and written •    3-7 years of relevant experience

Meritorious: •    Experience working with real-time systems/command systems •    Ability to communicate the system's function and architecture to various stakeholders •    Domain knowledge in safety-critical or defense-related systems •    Experience in verification/validation and traceability from requirements to testing

Full-time on-site at the client's premises. Selection of candidates is ongoing. Very good opportunities for extension.

The position requires you to undergo and be approved according to the applicable regulations for security protection. Positions with security classification requirements may, in some cases, entail requirements for certain citizenship.
