Staff Assistant to the Swedish Armed Forces Overseas Section
Do you want to be involved as a staff assistant in staffing our services internationally? An exciting and dynamic area of work where you will be part of ensuring that we succeed in our mission to send colleagues to positions in approximately 43 locations in 17 different countries.
Swedish Armed Forces HR Overseas Section (FST HR UtS)
The Overseas Section of the Swedish Armed Forces coordinates all international commitments of the Headquarters (HKV) and manages all units with URA agreements (agreements on overseas contracts and guidelines for employment conditions when serving abroad) within the Armed Forces. The Overseas Section focuses on the deployed personnel with operational HR support, which during their overseas assignment falls under URA agreements and has an advisory and supportive function for both managers and deployed personnel.
Today, the growing Overseas Section consists of a chief, deputy chief, detail manager, 12 HR generalists, a staff assistant, an economist, and a communicator, all of whom are solution-focused, efficient employees with a high degree of responsibility.
Main Responsibilities
As a staff assistant in the Overseas Section, you will be offered interesting staff tasks in an environment that is often influenced by geopolitical events in the world. You will support the section in a change process where we continuously build and develop the operations.
The support consists of administrative tasks such as managerial support, drafting letters and minutes, bookings, orders, shopping carts, updating collaboration spaces, preparing and compiling materials. Furthermore, you will support HR generalists with deployment administration before, during, and after deployments.
REQUIREMENTS
Qualifications
- Current completed GMU or basic training with military service in the Swedish Armed Forces.
- Complete high school education with passing grades.
- Good computer skills and experience using parts of the Microsoft Office suite.
- Good knowledge of both spoken and written Swedish and English.
- Driver's license B is required.

Meritorious
- Experience in service-oriented administrative work.
- Previous experience as a staff, intelligence, or security assistant.
- Completed staff service training and basic security training.
- Group leader training from military service/basic training.
- Knowledge of the Swedish Armed Forces' IT systems, PRIO/SAP, VIDAR, SWECCIS, ISUS, SHAREPOINT.
- Previous or current employment within the Swedish Armed Forces.
- Experience from work in other government agencies.

The employment form is within the framework of GSS/K, which begins with a six-month probationary period for those who are not already employed by the authority.

The position involves travel as well as evening and weekend duties, which will be planned with good notice.
