As an operator at the 135th Security Squadron, you will work within the military security service with a focus on gathering security intelligence aimed at indicating and identifying suspected security threats to the Armed Forces' protected assets.

In your employment, you will work on a highly relevant task with a constantly changing threat landscape. The work is very long-term and is conducted with high discretion. As a person, you should be patient, results-oriented, and have a high ability for creative thinking.

Main Responsibilities

The daily work is varied and includes everything from training and education to the execution of operational activities. Parts of the work are carried out without a dog, which means that you, as a dog handler, need to have competence in several areas.

The employment begins with an approximately 6-month basic course, after which you will be placed as a dog handler upon successful completion. After the basic course, position-specific training will begin, where you as a dog handler will spend time adapting the team to the unit's tasks.

REQUIREMENTS Qualifications

• Approved high school education.
• Completed and approved military basic training.
• Driver's license B.
• Swedish citizenship.
• Completed and approved results in accordance with FMFysS.
• Approved results on selection tests after overall assessment.
• Approved dog handler training patrol (FM or Police Authority).
• Completed at least one (1) approved qualification test (FM or Police Authority).

DESIRABLE

• Further education in dog service in FM or similar company/authority.
• Work within security unit service or reconnaissance service in FM or similar company/authority.
• Experience and training in covert gathering in terrain and urban environments.
• Experience from national/international missions.
• Completed and approved military police training.
• Medical training CLS, combat medic, advanced medic.
• Fieldwork training primarily in mine and explosive service as well as breaching.
• Military driving licenses and further driving training civilian/military.

Other

Employment type: Fixed-term GSS agreement. The Armed Forces applies a six-month probationary period for those who are not employed by the authority.

Location: Kungsängen, Livgardet.

During the recruitment process, selection tests according to the above requirements will be conducted over four days. The test will be physically and psychologically demanding, and you should not drive a car on the Sunday after the test.

Testing period: 20260409-12. The tests will be conducted near Livgardet.

Start of employment: 1/9 2026.
