Collaboration Officer in the Swedish Armed Forces

As a Collaboration Officer in the Swedish Armed Forces, you play an important role in a successful team within an agency that is experiencing strong growth. Together with competent and engaged colleagues, you will receive responsibility, development, and challenges.

Main Responsibilities

In the role of Collaboration Officer, you are responsible for building and maintaining good relationships and communication channels with civilian authorities and other stakeholders. Responsibilities include:

  • Representing the commander of MR M within the county, which means being able to engage in dialogue with both strategic and executive levels of civilian actors when necessary.
  • Representing the commander of MR M in the county's crisis management organization from both planning and implementation perspectives.
  • Leading specifically assigned planning work in the staff and being part of a management team to support the implementation of operations.
  • Leading a dedicated collaboration group within the assigned county or in another county to support the coordination of operational activities.

REQUIREMENTS

Qualifications

  • Approved high school diploma Officer's exam/Specialist officer. SO 7/8 or OF 2
  • Good proficiency in spoken and written Swedish and English
  • Driver's license B
  • Good computer skills

Furthermore, it is important that you have the ability to quickly adapt to new conditions to analyze and solve complex tasks. Meritorious

  • Previous experience of military staff service
  • Completed international service in one of the Armed Forces' operations
  • Experience of work and collaboration at the government level
  • Knowledge of the Armed Forces' preparedness and operational activities

Other

Employment type: SO 7/8 or OF 2. The Armed Forces applies a six-month probationary period for those who are not employed by the agency.
Employment rate: Full-time
Work location: Kungsängen (the position involves periods of absence from the work location)
Start date: By agreement.
Salary: Individual salary setting
The position includes travel (mainly within Sweden), recurring preparedness, and participation in exercises.

Information about the Swedish Armed Forces and the recruiting unit:

The Central Military Region (MR M) is a military unit and an organizational unit where the Commander and Staff are located in Kungsängen. The organization consists of a Commander with staff, six training groups for training and support of the Home Guard, and approximately 7000 Home Guard soldiers organized into eleven battalions and several independent units.

The Commander of the Central Military Region with a regional staff leads subordinate units, collaborates with regional and local actors, leads security and intelligence services, and supports operational and tactical commanders who solve tasks within the region. The region also functions as a link between the Armed Forces and civil society, actively collaborating with the county administrative board and the region. When necessary, MR M also leads operations, for example, during national crisis situations and support to society. The Military Region solves tasks in peace, crisis, and war.

The organization and operational area of the Central Military Region encompass the geographical counties of Stockholm, Uppsala, Södermanland, Västmanland, Dalarna, and Gävleborg. Training groups and Home Guard units are present in each county.
