Stockholm Amphibious Regiment is Hiring Soldiers

Stockholm Amphibious Regiment (Amf 1) is evolving and changing to meet future goals while living up to today's high standards. Our main activity consists of training combat units and maintaining readiness. Amf 1 is now seeking soldiers for the 2nd Amphibious Battalion, 2nd Naval Base Battalion, the Training Battalion, and the Equipment Company.

Main Responsibilities

Within the framework of GSS positions, responsibilities vary depending on the specific role.

We primarily expect that you have completed military service at Amf 1 within the last year, but applicants who have completed military service with equivalent training at another unit in recent years are also welcome to apply.

REQUIREMENTS

Qualifications

  • Completed military service/GU with a passing grade.
  • Swim competent (400 m and lifesaving).
  • Approved health examination and physical requirements for the position.

  • Completed military basic training at Amf 1.
  • Driver's license B.

Other

Employment type: Fixed-term employment as GSS for six years. The Swedish Armed Forces applies a six-month probationary period for those who are not employed by the authority.

Employment degree: full-time

Salary: according to agreement.

Work location: Berga

Start date: by agreement, but no later than 2026-08-03

  • Personal letter,
  • CV with at least two references
  • Copies of high school diplomas
  • Copies of military grades/evaluations
  • Copies of training certificates
  • If you are doing military service: a copy of the certificate of ongoing military service training

Stockholm Amphibious Regiment (Amf 1) operates where water meets land and serves as the link between naval and army combat forces. The 2nd Amphibious Battalion's weapon systems allow us to operate in four dimensions: on and under the water surface, in the air, and on land. Thus, we can exert control over coastal areas. The 2nd Naval Base Battalion provides logistical support to the Navy's units and is both land and sea-based. Amf 1 trains soldiers, sailors, coastal rangers, and officers in various main services. Amf 1 is responsible for the production of combat units. The Amphibious Battalion, 2nd Naval Base Battalion, and Marine Military Base Haninge. The unit is based in Haninge (Berga).
