Operator at the 135th Security Squadron
As an operator at the 135th Security Squadron, you will be part of the Swedish Armed Forces' security service. You will work with technical security intelligence gathering, where developments in the field occur in line with a constantly changing threat landscape. A mission of central importance to Sweden's defense capability.
About the Position
We strive to be at the forefront of technical security intelligence gathering, where developments occur in line with a constantly changing threat landscape. The position includes both the establishment and use of systems in operational activities as well as the development and procurement of technical solutions.
We are looking for someone who is driven by problem-solving and wants to influence how solutions are developed. Initiative, creative thinking, and a sense of responsibility are therefore qualities we highly value. The position offers meaningful and practical work where you contribute to creating sensor overlap in security intelligence gathering.

Main Responsibilities
- Conduct qualified technical security intelligence gathering
- Manage and develop advanced technical sensors in both operational and daily contexts
- Work independently and in teams with a focus on common goals
- Develop new solutions and products that enhance intelligence capability
After an internal basic course, position-specific training will follow before employment.
Desired Personal Qualities
We are looking for someone who is secure, proactive, and has a good ability to take responsibility. You are accustomed to changing environments, have high stress tolerance, and find motivation in driving technical capability forward.
You have a strong technical understanding and interest in developing systems and methods, as well as the willingness to take on challenges even outside your current area of expertise. For us, integrity, personal maturity, and the ability to handle classified information are crucial.
Great emphasis will be placed on personal suitability during the recruitment process.
REQUIREMENTS Qualifications
- Approved high school education
- Completed and approved military basic training
- Swedish citizenship
- Driver's license B
- No pet allergies
- Approved results in selection tests
DESIRABLE
- Experience in technical surveillance
- Basic electrical knowledge
- Good computer skills, especially in IT and networks
Other
Employment form: Permanent (OF, SO) or GSS agreement. The Swedish Armed Forces applies a six-month probationary period for those who are not employed by the authority.
Location: Kungsängen, Life Guards. During the recruitment process, selection tests according to the above requirements will be conducted over four days. The test will be physically and mentally demanding, and you should not drive a car on the Sunday after the test.
Test date: 20260409-12 Tests will be conducted near the Life Guards. Employment start: 1/9 2026. Salary: We apply individual salary setting.

The Life Guards is one of the largest units in the Swedish Armed Forces with roots dating back to 1521. We train tomorrow's soldiers, as well as military police and personnel who will carry out international missions. We guard the royal palaces, we have security and ground combat units. We are also responsible for preserving and developing Swedish military music tradition. Our headquarters is in Kungsängen outside Stockholm, but we also have locations in Sollentuna, central Stockholm, Uppsala, Gothenburg, and Karlskrona.
