Staff Assistant
Amf 1 is on an extensive growth journey. At the 2nd Marine Battalion belonging to Amf 1, you have the opportunity to work with engaged colleagues where you can develop while contributing to the organization's development. The 2nd Marine Battalion is constantly involved in sharp operations and ensures that the Navy's operational units have the logistical support they need.
Battalion Staff, 2nd Marine Battalion
The 2nd Marine Battalion is a newly established combat unit that provides logistical support to the Navy as a whole, both from land and at sea. Here, there is organizational growth, a pioneering spirit, and continuous development. With us, there is a high ceiling, a transparent organizational culture, and leadership by example. The battalion staff supports the commander in leading both the battalion's daily operations and ongoing development.
Main Responsibilities
This position is for you who enjoy structure and making things happen.
As a staff assistant, you primarily support the staff with execution and planning as well as the battalion's signal protection and information systems.
Examples of tasks:
- Drafting documents and minutes
- Preparing and supporting during briefings, meetings, and presentations
- Supporting the preparation and compiling of materials
- Assisting in the development of templates and maintaining simple statistics
- Following up and structuring routines and work methods
During an exercise or operation, you may be able to operate in field units or a seagoing staff.
The work is varied and developmental. The role offers good opportunities to develop the operations and its routines.
REQUIREMENTS
Qualifications
- Approved military basic training
- Good experience working with MS Office
- Driver's license B
Personal Qualities
You are a driven individual with a sense of service. You have good collaboration skills and are proactive. Furthermore, to thrive in the role, you need to be organized and responsible, as well as comfortable working in an environment where conditions and tasks can change rapidly.
Great emphasis will be placed on personal suitability.
DESIRABLE

- Training in communication or command support systems
- Signal protection training
- Military driving license

Employment type: Fixed-term employment as GSS for six years. The Armed Forces applies a six-month probationary period for those not employed by the authority.

The Stockholm Amphibious Regiment (Amf 1) operates where water meets land and serves as the link between naval and army combat forces. Fast combat boats and hovercraft make the unit agile. Our weapon systems allow us to operate in four dimensions: on and below the water surface, in the air, and on land. Thus, we can exert control over coastal areas.
The unit trains amphibious soldiers, coastal rangers, sailors, and officers in various main services. Amf 1 has production responsibility for the combat unit 2nd Amphibious Battalion and 2nd Marine Battalion. The unit is based in Haninge (Berga).
