Do you want to make a difference and contribute to safer healthcare and social services? The Health and Social Care Inspectorate (IVO) is looking for several inspectors to develop state supervision and licensing. The positions will be located in Malmö/Jönköping/Örebro/Umeå. As of January 1, 2026, licensing requirements for private dental care and a new high-cost protection scheme in dental care were introduced. In connection with this, IVO has a mission to intensify the supervision of dental care in Sweden.

About the job
As an inspector, you will handle cases together with other inspectors. We work nationally, and you will have colleagues across the country. In your work, you will come into contact with both principals and staff as well as the general public.

As an inspector, you always work from a user and patient perspective to focus on what is important for individuals and for different groups of people. As an employee at IVO, you will also have the opportunity to contribute to safer healthcare and social services through national supervision alongside engaged and qualified colleagues.

Your main tasks will include:

  • Handling cases within self-initiated supervision in dental care and healthcare. There may also be cases within social services.
  • Working on larger national projects/supervision efforts.
  • Participating in inspections, both digital and on-site at the facilities.

There may also be handling of other types of cases, such as reports according to lex Maria.

The positions are permanent employment with a six-month probationary period, located in Malmö/Jönköping/Örebro/Umeå. Travel in the job may occur frequently.

Qualifications
We are looking for someone who has:

  • A university degree in healthcare or another academic education deemed relevant to the assignment.
  • Experience in analysis, investigation, or quality work.
  • Good knowledge of Swedish, both spoken and written.
  • A valid driver's license (B).

To succeed in this role, you need to be able to work independently and structure and prioritize your work. You also enjoy collaborating with others in various constellations and with different competencies. It is particularly important that you have good communication skills. As IVO is in a developmental phase, it is important that you find change and development work stimulating.

We consider it an advantage if you also have:

  • Good knowledge of laws and regulations within healthcare.
  • Experience in dental care.
  • Experience in development work.
  • Experience in supervision/inspection work.

The authority has about 800 employees. The supervision work is conducted at six regional departments across the country. The departments for licensing, analysis, planning, and communication, as well as operational support, are located in Stockholm, along with the director general's office.
