About us

The Mora Park Foundation is a non-profit organization that operates schools and LSS accommodations for children and young people with various disabilities.

Mora Park's LSS accommodation offers housing for children and young people according to 9§8 LSS in two scenic locations, Järna and Hölö. We have 4 accommodations where children and young people live full-time until they have completed primary school/high school.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

In this role, you will work as an educational support for your colleagues in combination with the role of housing supporter, which means that;

- Work to increase children's participation, integrity, independence, and self-determination.

- Have a special responsibility for the development of the educational activities.

- Gather and disseminate knowledge about sustainable and evidence-based educational methods with the aim of driving the operations forward.

- Actively listen to employees' thoughts and ideas and together with them create common development in the operations.

- Together with colleagues, develop educational methods to increase individual participation and independence in their daily lives.

Qualifications

• To work as a support educator, you need to have a suitable education such as post-secondary specialization in the field of disabilities with a pedagogical focus that includes at least 200 vocational higher education credits or 60 higher education credits. Alternatively, you have a combination of YH and higher education credits that correspond to at least two semesters of full-time studies.
• As a support educator, you are required to have a good understanding of different disabilities and how they affect the individual's daily life, as well as being responsive to their needs. You have the ability to communicate clearly and effectively with both children and colleagues. This includes both verbal and non-verbal communication. The role also requires knowledge of pedagogical approaches and the ability to work in a low-arousal manner. You are good at motivating and engaging your colleagues in the development work. Furthermore, you need to be responsible, see solutions instead of obstacles, and enjoy varied tasks.
• Very good proficiency in Swedish, both spoken and written.
• Good computer skills, experience in documentation.
• Experience working in care and support.

Working hours: According to schedule, including days, evenings, weekends, and on-call
