Are you curious about the next step in your career? We are currently seeking sharp and analytical security analysts on behalf of our client.
We are looking for someone who...
We place great importance on personal suitability and are looking for someone who is confident in their professional role and has an eye for detail. To be considered for the position, we expect you to:
- Have a relevant background in IT security. We are looking for both those who are at the beginning of their careers and those with experience working in a SOC (Security Operations Center). Knowledge of networks, operating systems, and security tools is fundamental.
- Have good collaboration skills. You thrive in team environments where information sharing is crucial, but you also have the ability to independently drive investigations when the situation requires it.
- Be analytical and methodical. You can quickly sort through large amounts of information to find discrepancies and see patterns where others see noise. You remain calm even in pressured situations.
- Be a good communicator. You are fluent in both Swedish and English, as documenting incidents and reporting to stakeholders is a central part of the job.
- Have a proactive drive. You are curious about the latest in the threat landscape and are passionate about detecting intrusion attempts before they cause harm.
Examples of job responsibilities
- Monitoring and alert management: Monitor security alerts in real-time via SIEM systems and other monitoring tools to identify potential threats.
- Threat assessment and analysis: Perform triage (initial assessment) of alerts, analyze log files and network traffic to determine if an activity is malicious or benign.
- Incident response: Act on verified security incidents, isolate affected systems, and escalate complex cases to the appropriate instance.
- Reporting and documentation: Carefully document the sequence of events in the case management system and create reports as a basis for further investigation.
- Improvement work: Participate in efforts to fine-tune alert rules and develop use cases to reduce the number of false alarms (false positives).
