In this role, advanced algorithm development is combined with a clear responsibility as a Scrum Master, with an approximate distribution of 50/50 between hands-on development and team leadership. You will work in advanced real-time critical systems where performance, robustness, and accuracy are crucial, with application-close software in a Linux environment close to hardware-related subsystems – without going down to classic embedded or processor level.

As an algorithm developer, you will be responsible for developing, implementing, and further developing computationally intensive logic in complex system solutions. The work ranges from requirement analysis and mathematical models to design, implementation, profiling, and optimization of existing and new algorithms, often involving combinatorics and clear performance requirements. The development includes both new functionality and further development related to customer-specific orders, where long-term code quality and structured solutions are the focus.

As a Scrum Master, you will lead and facilitate the team's daily standups, sprint planning, sprint reviews, and retrospectives. You will ensure that there is a realistic plan and the right conditions for the team to deliver, follow up on dependencies and obstacles, and promote good collaboration with systems engineers, product owners, and other stakeholders. The role also involves creating clarity around status and deliveries and contributing to the continuous development of working methods, flows, and communication.

You will be part of an experienced team responsible for central functions in larger system solutions and work across the entire chain – from requirement interpretation and technical design to implementation, further development, testing, and management of an established platform. In some assignments, there is an opportunity to follow the functions all the way to integration and acceptance testing on-site with the customer.

Your qualifications

We are looking for someone who has:

• Several years of experience in software development in complex, preferably real-time critical or system-related systems

• Experience in algorithm development and computationally intensive applications, preferably with elements of combinatorics, performance requirements, and profiling

• Very good knowledge of one or more of the following languages: Ada, Java, Python, C, C++, or C#

• Documented experience of agile working methods and previous role as a Scrum Master or similar leadership role in development teams

• Relevant engineering degree, for example in computer engineering, technical physics, electrical engineering, or equivalent

• Good understanding of real-time requirements, larger technical system solutions, and testing and verification chains

• Very good knowledge of Swedish and English in speech and writing

Experience with Linux-based systems, work close to hardware-related subsystems, signal processing, control engineering, or other advanced algorithm development is meritorious. Experience from safety-critical or highly regulated environments and familiarity with larger, long-lived codebases is also valuable, as well as an interest in developing both people and working methods in an agile team.

Salary: Fixed monthly salary
