In this role, you will have overall responsibility for establishing, operating, and further developing the organization’s central monitoring and observability platform. The work takes place in a complex on-prem environment with high demands for security, stability, and availability at a critical societal actor.

This is a hands-on technical role where you will be involved from the start and build up an entirely new technology area – not a role where you just monitor alarms, but where you shape how monitoring should work in the long term.

• Establish Monitoring & Observability as a technology area from scratch

• Be responsible for the operation, management, and further development of the monitoring platform

• Ensure that the solution is stable, secure, and tailored to the business needs

• Set structure for alerts, notifications, KPIs, and dashboards

• Participate in change work, improvement initiatives, and technical planning

• Act as a technical advisor to application teams and other IT functions

• Ensure compliance with architecture and security requirements

• Installation, configuration, and further development of Grafana environments

• Dashboard development and onboarding of systems and applications

• Building alerts, notification flows, and integration points

• Performance monitoring and analysis of bottlenecks in the IT environment

• Operation, troubleshooting, and maintenance in Linux-based environments

• Incident, problem, and change management

• Automation of operational tasks and workflows (e.g., Ansible, ServiceNow)

• Documentation of solutions, routines, and technical architecture

• Grafana (main focus)

• Linux

• Environments that include Linux, Windows, and containerized platforms

• Experience in monitoring/observability in complex IT environments

• Good to very good knowledge of Grafana (installation, configuration, dashboards)

• Experience in setting up alerts, notifications, and monitoring flows

• Understanding of performance monitoring and troubleshooting

• Experience in automation, preferably with Ansible

• Familiarity with incident, problem, and change work

• Technical holistic understanding of IT operations, infrastructure, and Linux

• At least a few years of relevant experience

• Confident in your technical skills and accustomed to working independently

• Structured, analytical, and responsible

• Engaged, curious, and solution-oriented

• Thrives in startup environments and enjoys building new

• Team player who is also comfortable in an advisory role
