We are now looking for a Senior Software Engineer (Level 4 – Expert) for a long-term assignment in e-health. The assignment involves a central role in a newly established team responsible for the design, optimization, and implementation of a Backend for Frontend (BFF) solution.

You will strengthen a dedicated Stand-alone client team focused on building and further developing a modern BFF architecture, primarily in Node.js. The team works closely with the frontend and is responsible for the entire delivery – from architecture and technical choices to implementation and operations.

The team consists of:

• 4 software engineers

• 1 architect

• 1 Product Owner

The team is located in Stockholm and Linköping and works closely and independently. On-site presence at least 3 days a week is expected.

• Design and implement Backend for Frontend (BFF) solutions

• Establish and further develop technical architecture and tech stack

• Develop scalable and high-performance backend solutions

• Work closely with the frontend team to optimize data flows and APIs

• Take technical responsibility for delivery and quality

• Documented experience in building BFF solutions in a similar domain

• Very high competence (expert) in:

  • Node.js

  • JavaScript

  • TypeScript

  • Java

• Ability to independently drive technical decisions and delivery

• Senior and self-sufficient – requires minimal guidance

• Responsible and solution-oriented

• Driven and confident in the role of a technically leading developer

• Scope: 100 %

• Assignment period: February 9, 2026 - December 31, 2026, with the possibility of extension

• Location: Stockholm / Linköping

• Working method: Partially remote (on-site at least 3 days/week)

• Language: English accepted
