The Swedish National Board of Institutional Care, SiS, is an authority responsible for individually tailored compulsory care for young people with complex psychosocial issues and for adults with substance abuse. SiS also implements secure youth care. We do this at youth homes and homes for adults with substance abuse across the country. At SiS, your work life becomes an exciting challenge. At our headquarters in Solna Business Park, we are about 400 employees, and together we work to support and develop the authority with about 5000 employees.

Job Description

For us, digitization is more than technology – it is an enabler for good care and treatment. At the IT and digitization department, about 55 dedicated employees work every day to strengthen the authority's operations.

We are now entering an exciting development phase with an expanded mission for the entire authority. Together, we drive the digital transformation focusing on secure, accessible, and modern solutions that make a real difference – for employees, young people, and clients.

You are an IT-driven problem solver who is passionate about building and managing secure, stable mobile platforms. You see opportunities in every technical challenge and want to make a concrete difference for a socially important operation.

Qualifications

We are looking for someone who has:

• relevant education or experience that SiS deems equivalent
• experience with Linux with the ability to independently set up and manage Linux environments
• experience with the Red Hat distribution
• experience with VMware virtualization
• good communication skills in Swedish, both spoken and written

It is an advantage if you also have:

• experience with Docker, Container technologies
• experience with Kubernetes and orchestration tools (e.g., Rancher or equivalent)
• experience with databases (e.g., MySql, MariaDB or equivalent)
• monitoring of Linux servers
• experience with distributions from Ubuntu
• experience with Apache, NGINX, PHP
• experience with Backup/restore in Veeam
• experience in public sector
• experience with Satellite server
