Key Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with the Product Owner and business stakeholders to understand new requirements and translate them into technical designs and MES system solutions.
• Work closely with onsite production teams to understand manufacturing process flows, shop-floor operations, and system usage in a real production environment.
• Design, develop, configure, and enhance MES functionalities in alignment with business and production needs.
• Provide direct support to production operators and shift leaders by analyzing and resolving MES-related issues impacting manufacturing operations.
• Communicate functional and technical requirements clearly to offshore development teams and actively support development, unit testing, integration testing, and user acceptance testing (UAT).
• Participate in discussions with business teams to identify opportunities for process optimization, system improvements, and automation within the MES landscape.
• Be present at the production site during major MES deployments, upgrades, and rollouts to ensure smooth go-live and system stability.
• Provide post-deployment hyper-care, ensuring prompt issue resolution, system performance monitoring, and user support.
• Handle incident and problem management related to MES applications, including detailed root cause analysis (RCA) and implementation of corrective and preventive actions.
• Act as a key liaison between business users, production teams, and offshore developers to ensure effective communication, alignment, and timely delivery of MES solutions.

Functional Skills:

• Understanding of shop-floor manufacturing processes (production, OEE, downtime, quality, traceability, labeling).
• Ability to translate business and operational requirements into MES solutions.
• Knowledge of MES process standardization, workflow automation, and continuous improvement.
• Experience in production support, incident handling, and root cause analysis (RCA).

Technical Skills:

• Hands-on experience configuring and customizing GE Proficy Plant Applications, including production models, events, calculations, and KPIs.
• Design, development, and maintenance of GE Proficy Workflow, including business logic, validations, and exception handling.
• Configuration and administration of GE Proficy Historian, including tags, data collection, and historical data analysis.
• Strong expertise in MS SQL Server, including stored procedures, performance tuning, and troubleshooting in MES environments.
• Experience with Collectors, Kepware, PLC/SCADA integration, and shop-floor connectivity.
• Hands-on experience with Print Suite Bridge and Nice Label design for label management and printing integration.
• Understanding and management of GE Proficy Licensing, including license configuration, allocation, and troubleshooting.
• Experience integrating GE Proficy MES with ERP systems via middleware.
• Hands-on experience with RobEx for production planning, scheduling, and execution alignment with MES.
