Assignment Description

We are looking for an experienced Test Leader for a consulting assignment within a larger digitization program in a critical societal organization.

The assignment is linked to a project focused on automated condition monitoring, where the goal is to collect and visualize disruption information to enable quick and effective analysis as well as improved decision-making support when reporting and ordering maintenance actions.

As a test leader, you will be responsible for planning, leading, and coordinating the testing work within the project. You may also support other projects within the program as needed. The projects may include both in-house developed solutions and the implementation of standard systems and are conducted together with internal IT resources, consultants, and business specialists.

The work is conducted according to an established project model (based on PPS) as well as internal guidelines and governing documents. The organization uses testing tools for test planning and reporting.

Responsibilities

As a test leader, you are responsible for the project's testing and quality assurance work throughout all project phases. Responsibilities include, among other things:

• Plan, lead, coordinate, and administer the project's testing work
• Develop, document, and implement an overall test strategy, test plan, and test report
• Ensure that the testing work follows the organization's testing processes and guidelines
• Lead and coordinate the activities of the testing team
• Develop and ensure the quality of test data, test cases, and other test documentation
• Participate operationally in testing work as needed
• Plan, lead, and report on testing activities such as UAT and End-to-End testing with multiple vendors involved
• Anchor the testing work within the project organization
• Ensure that testing procedures are documented and can be handed over to the management organization

Mandatory Requirements

• University degree (at least 120 credits/180 ECTS) in IT, engineering, data, or system science
• At least 5 years of work experience (within the last 10 years) in the role of tester, test analyst, or test leader in IT projects
• At least 5 years of experience in quality assurance, test execution, test management, and testing methodology
• At least 5 years of experience in complex IT and/or business projects (many requirements, several technical and organizational dependencies)
• At least 5 years of experience in requirements and testing work within agile development
• At least 5 years of experience in technical testing of information systems
• At least 5 years of experience in test automation, CI/CD pipelines, and Git-based version control
• At least 5 years of experience with Linux or Unix-based systems
• At least 5 years of experience in API testing
• At least 3 years of experience in testing container-based systems
• At least 1 year of experience in database testing
• At least 1 year of experience working with Operational Technology (OT)

Desirable Requirements

• At least 2 years of experience in testing work within the public sector
• At least 2 years of experience working according to DevOps methodology
• At least 1 year of experience from a larger organization (>1000 employees) with a complex IT and infrastructural environment
• At least 1 year of experience in the energy sector
• Certification according to ISTQB (or equivalent testing certification), proof must be provided
