Backend Developer with Database Focus

About the Position

As a backend developer with a database focus, you will work in a cross-functional team where you will help build, further develop, and improve our services and systems. You will work with modern technologies and methodologies, where development and maintenance of databases are combined with development, automated testing, CI/CD, and elements of DevOps.

You will work on quality assurance of solutions to ensure they meet both functional and non-functional requirements by continuously working on performance optimization and technical improvements. About You

You are curious, solution-oriented, and have a genuine interest in database development and technology. We are looking for someone who has:

• an academic degree in IT/computer science or equivalent work experience
• several years of current experience in database development and data modeling in PostgreSQL or Oracle
• at least one year of experience in software development with Java as the primary programming language
• good knowledge of Swedish, both spoken and written.

It is an advantage if you have:

• current experience with transaction-intensive systems handling large data volumes
• current experience with version control tools such as Liquibase or Flyway
• current experience with Business Intelligence tools such as Power BI
• current experience working with container-based technologies such as Docker, Kubernetes, and OpenShift.

The employment is permanent with a six-month probationary period. Start date as soon as possible or by agreement. The place of employment is Kalmar or Stockholm. The work may involve business trips, primarily between Kalmar and Stockholm.
