Senior Electricity Market Analyst
As a senior electricity market analyst, you will be part of our essential and constantly growing organization. Do you want to take on the energy challenge and work for a bright Sweden? Welcome with your application to our expanding team in the Market Connection and Transparency unit.
About the position
You will work to manage and develop the market design for the electricity market within Sweden and Europe. You will specifically work with the day-ahead and intraday markets.
You will represent Svenska kraftnät in working groups within the Nordic and European collaborations for market coupling and the development of the electricity market, including within the framework of ENTSO-E. Over time, you will have the opportunity to lead international working groups.
As an electricity market analyst, you will work on proposals for how the electricity market should be further developed, and you will work at the European level to develop detailed methods for how the day-ahead and intraday markets should be organized. You will also work on implementing legal requirements and other changes in the electricity market. The work includes collaborating with external parties at the European and Nordic levels, primarily other transmission system operators and power exchanges, but also with regulatory authorities.
The tasks vary over time depending on which development areas are current and prioritized, and as your specialization and expertise develop;
There are good opportunities to learn more about the electricity market through the work and through internal and external further education.
The role involves navigating a complex and changing regulatory environment where EU regulations and national requirements must be translated into practical application.
The Market Connection and Transparency unit, together with the Forward Market and Capacity unit, is part of the Wholesale Markets section. The section consists of 20 employees. The unit is responsible for the development, implementation, and compliance with the regulations regarding the day-ahead and intraday markets. The unit also works on transparency issues in the electricity market and is responsible for the section's work on continuity and civil preparedness.

We are looking for someone who:
- has a degree in law, economics, or engineering or equivalent education/work experience that the employer assesses as equivalent.
- has at least 5 years of experience working with electricity market-related issues.
You speak and write Swedish fluently and can express yourself well in English, both orally and in writing.
It is advantageous if you have knowledge and work experience of:
- the regulations of the electricity market
- market design
- network codes and other European legislation in the electricity market area.

- The position is located in Stockholm/Sundbyberg, Gothenburg
- Possibility of remote work up to 50% #LI-hybrid
- Travel may occur in this position
