At the Swedish Migration Agency, we work with one of the major societal issues of our time – migration. In total, we are about 6,000 people here, and we have an unusually important job!

The Security Department of the Swedish Migration Agency is part of the head office and has overall responsibility for security and preparedness within the agency.

Experts in the Security Department work with information security, physical security, personnel security, crisis preparedness, civil defense, internal investigations, employee protection, and other security issues covering everything from operational protection to security protection.

The office is a function within the department, and its main task is to assist the security director and other managers within the department. The office is responsible for coordinating the department's operational planning, processing order, preparation process, administration of the department's case management system, conducting investigations and other assignments, preparing decision-making materials for the department's managers, coordinating reporting, and writing referral responses. The office also has assignments related to security protection and is largely the entry point for external and internal inquiries to the department. The office is now looking for an administrative officer.

Main Responsibilities
The office works with operational planning, preparation process, administration of the department's case management system, conducting investigations, and other assignments. Furthermore, the office's tasks include preparing decision-making materials for the department's managers, coordinating reporting, and writing referral responses.

Working as an administrative officer at the department office is a multifaceted assignment that includes everything from service, support, and administration to analysis. It is an important role where you ensure good structure and efficiency for the department. Your work is characterized by both independent work and a high degree of collaboration, both within the department and externally, as well as providing support and service from a holistic perspective for the agency.

As an administrative officer, you will also work with case management, meeting invitations and minutes, drafting decisions, opinions, and referral responses, as well as other investigative assignments. You understand complex linguistic materials and produce high-quality documents with simple and comprehensible language. Additionally, you will perform tasks at the request of your immediate supervisor.

We are looking for someone who has:

  • A university degree of at least 120 credits in a relevant field or other education combined with relevant experience for the role
  • Several years of experience in qualified administration
  • Several years of experience in public operations, primarily government agencies
  • Experience working in an office or staff function

It is meritorious if you have:

  • Understanding and knowledge of the Swedish Migration Agency's organization and mission
  • Knowledge of and experience with the Swedish Migration Agency's internal processes and operations
  • Experience providing support to multiple managers
  • Experience related to security and relevant legislation

Employment with us may involve placement in a security class. A security review with a background check according to the Security Protection Act (2018:585) may therefore be conducted before a decision on employment.
