Accounting Assistant for Insurance Company in Central Stockholm

SJR is recruiting a driven Accounting Assistant for our client, an insurance company located in central Stockholm. This is a full-time consulting assignment starting in early May and lasting for 16 months.

About the Position

In this role, you will be an important part of daily accounting and support the business in matters related to bookkeeping, payments, and financial routines. You will work closely with colleagues in finance and contribute to ensuring that the company's financial processes maintain high quality and comply with applicable laws and internal guidelines. The position is suitable for you who thrive in a varied role where you can combine administrative responsibility, problem-solving, and points of contact with the business.

Responsibilities

• Ongoing bookkeeping
• Management of the department's shared finance email and support to the business
• Accounts payable: registration, coding, and payments
• Reconciliation of bank accounts, collaboration with the general ledger and insurance systems
• Management of expenses and company cards
• Participation in monthly and annual closings
• Preparation and reporting of sustainability reporting
• Contribute to the development and quality assurance of financial processes

Suitable Background

We are looking for someone with a post-secondary education in finance or accounting, or equivalent work experience. You have previously worked with financial administration and accounting and feel confident in bookkeeping rules and financial flows. You have good system skills, work fluently in financial systems, and master Swedish very well in both spoken and written form.
