We are now looking for an Embedded Software Engineer with experience in Android, C++, and Python for an assignment with one of our clients in Gothenburg.

Job Responsibilities

In the role of Embedded Software Engineer, you will among other things:

• Develop and maintain complex embedded software in C++ and Python, focusing on emulators for the Android platform.
• Work in environments based on Linux or other embedded operating systems to effectively build and improve new hardware platforms.
• Optimize emulator performance regarding CPU and memory usage, while ensuring high usability and compatibility.
• Participate in CI/CD flows to ensure that the software can be integrated and delivered quickly and smoothly.
• Support various application teams by providing a stable emulator that mimics the actual hardware environment.
• Troubleshoot and resolve performance and compatibility issues in close collaboration with developers, product owners, and test engineers.

Qualifications (Must-have)

To thrive and succeed in this role, we would like you to have:

• Experience in embedded software development with C++ and Python.
• Good experience working in Android and/or Linux environments.
• Knowledge of embedded operating systems or equivalent, as well as experience in handling build configuration.
• Experience working in a CI environment (Continuous Integration).
• Very good knowledge of English, both spoken and written.

Meritorious (Nice to have)

• Experience with automotive infotainment or similar systems.
• Test automation using tools like Pytest.
• Previous work with emulators and customization of SELinux policies.
• Driver's license (B) is an advantage.
