Service Technician Specializing in Security Systems and Property Management

The Swedish Prison and Probation Service is expanding – we are building new facilities, renovating, and adding on, and we are now looking for more employees. Our primary goal is to reduce recidivism – to break the vicious cycle. If we succeed, society will be safer and more secure for everyone. We are the authority responsible for prisons, probation, remand facilities, and client transport.

The Borås operational area consists of the Borås Remand Prison with 49 places and the Borås Prison with 217 places. The remand prison is part of the police station located in central Borås, and the prison is situated in the Västeråsen district of Borås. Construction of a new remand prison near Borås Central Station is underway. Approximately 200 people work within the operational area.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

As a service technician specializing in security systems and property management, you will work at both the prison and the remand facility in Borås, primarily focusing on security systems, alarm systems, surveillance systems/CCTV, locks, and property management.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for someone who is secure, stable, and has self-awareness. You work systematically and take responsibility for your tasks, regardless of whether you are under time pressure or not. You can work independently but also collaborate well with others, are service-oriented, and accommodating in your interactions. Furthermore, you easily adapt your work to changing conditions and place great importance on completing the projects you undertake, even when you encounter obstacles.

We are looking for someone who has:

• Completed upper secondary education in the form of a final grade or diploma, or other education combined with experience that the Swedish Prison and Probation Service deems relevant.
• Good knowledge of Swedish, both spoken and written.
• Good IT skills.
• Driver's license (B).

It is advantageous if you have:

• Post-secondary education in technology, telecommunications, communication, or property management, or other post-secondary education that the Swedish Prison and Probation Service deems relevant.
• Good knowledge of English.
• Experience in IT environments and network cabling.
• Experience working with security and surveillance systems/CCTV.
• Experience in property management.

OTHER

We have high demands for our employees' security and confidentiality awareness. The position is classified in a security class, which means that a security screening with a background check will be conducted before a hiring decision is made. For positions in the relevant security class, you must be a Swedish citizen, but you may have a foreign background.
