We are now looking for a family counselor for our joint family counseling service!

You will be part of an established collaboration between four municipalities where quality, integrity, and development are at the center.

Description

The family counseling is conducted in collaboration between the municipalities of Sunne, Torsby, Hagfors, and Munkfors, with Munkfors municipality as the principal.

The operation is organizationally placed within the area of care and health in Munkfors municipality but is an independent and standalone unit. Family counseling is a preventive service and is directly subordinate to the social manager. A joint steering group with representatives from all contracting municipalities leads and develops the operation.

The family counseling reception is located in the center of Munkfors. One day a week, branch operations are conducted in Torsby.

Responsibilities

As a family counselor, you will work with relationship problems and conflicts in couple and family relationships. Through professional conversations, couples and families have the opportunity to process difficulties and receive support in their relationship, whether the goal is change, repair, or separation.

The assignment also includes work with victims of violence, individuals who perpetrate violence, and their children.

The role also includes outreach and preventive work, including collaboration and networking with, for example, family centers and other partners.

As a family counselor, you have your own treatment responsibility and are offered regular external supervision. The work is characterized by independence, professionalism, and a high degree of trust.

Qualifications

We are looking for someone who is a social worker, psychologist, or has another behavioral science degree that the employer assesses as equivalent. You have basic psychotherapeutic training corresponding to level 1.

It is meritorious if you are a licensed psychotherapist and/or authorized family counselor, as well as if you have further education in areas such as sexology, family therapy, or couples therapy.

You have previous experience in family counseling or other qualified psychosocial treatment work.

As a person, you have a professional approach and a good ability to create safety, trust, and sustainable relationships. You work independently with confidence in your professional role but also value collaboration and collegial exchange.

The work is multifaceted and requires broad competence regarding the support structures of society and a good understanding of collaboration between different operations.

Great emphasis will be placed on personal suitability and ability to collaborate.

A driver's license is a requirement for the position.

Conditions

The position is a permanent full-time employment with a monthly salary. A probationary period may be applied.
