JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

As a relative coordinator, you play a central role in providing support to relatives of individuals who need help, support, and care at various stages of life. You are responsible for leading and organizing the relative support within the municipality, which may include collaborating with other professionals and actors in civil society.

In collaboration with assistance assessors, you conduct home visits, where you have the opportunity to inform relatives about available resources and support measures. Relative coordinators also work with outreach activities, where you proactively reach out to relatives and offer information and support in various forms.

As a relative coordinator, you are a present resource with the ability to initiate support measures such as conversation cafés and individual conversations to provide relatives with the help and guidance they need. You also lead discussion groups and offer advisory support, focusing on providing relatives with tools to manage their challenges and find the right help in areas such as care and healthcare.

Another important part of the job is collaboration and networking. You are part of local networks and collaborate with other professionals, such as dementia nurses and other specialists in care and support. In some cases, you act as the face of the relative support by giving presentations and informing about support services at schools, congregations, or other relevant forums.

Furthermore, a good pedagogical ability is required to adapt your message to different individuals' needs and conditions. You need to be able to explain complex topics in a simple and understandable way, so that your conversations and guidance become effective and accessible to all. You will have a meaningful and varied workday where you make a real difference, while also having the opportunity to develop in an area that requires both knowledge and humanity.

QUALIFICATIONS

To be considered for the position of relative coordinator, a university degree in a relevant field, such as social work, behavioral science, licensed nursing, or other education at the university level deemed equivalent is required. These educational backgrounds provide a good foundation for meeting the demands and challenges of the job.

Work experience is also an important factor, so we want you to have previous experience working with people, especially in care or social work, which is often a requirement to handle the tasks and contact with relatives that the position requires. Experience working in the municipal sector or with relative support is seen as highly meritorious and can be an advantage in the selection process.

A valid B driver's license is a requirement.

The position requires that you are flexible regarding working hours as you may need to participate in operational visits, lectures, and networking meetings even during evenings and weekends.
