The Värmland County Care Association is a municipal association with members from 16 municipalities in Värmland. The association operates HVB services in various areas and is a key player in the overall development work concerning harmful use/dependency in the region. The Dependency Center Värmland is jointly operated with Region Värmland for adults with harmful use/dependency and in need of abstinence care. Kvarnbacken is an integrated HVB home for adults that we operate together with Region Värmland. Riddarnäset is an integrated facility where we, together with Region Värmland, run HVB for young people aged 13-20. Flöjten is our acute and investigation home aimed at children aged 0-12 years. The association also organizes courses and conferences in the area of harmful use/dependency and has a joint mission with Region Värmland and the municipalities in the county to develop work on harmful use/dependency in Värmland.

Description

The HVB home Riddarnäset is located in Nykroppa, Filipstad municipality.

The facility accommodates up to 10 young people aged 13-20 years with risk or substance abuse issues combined with neuropsychiatric and/or psychiatric difficulties as well as other problematic behaviors. Placement is made according to both SoL and LVU.

Our goal is to run an HVB home of high quality, where each young person receives the support and treatment needed to create change and development.

The operation is run by the Värmland County Care Association in collaboration with Region Värmland, Child and Adolescent Psychiatric Clinic. The treatment staff works integrated with nurses, psychologists, and doctors. The unit also has a resource school run by Filipstad municipality, closely integrated with the treatment activities.

We are now looking for both a permanent employee and summer substitutes.

Job Responsibilities

As treatment staff, you are responsible for the daily practical work with the young people. Together with other staff, you work based on established treatment plans and contribute to their implementation and follow-up.

The work involves collaboration with the young person's family and network, social services caseworkers, and other relevant authorities and contacts. Documentation in the form of journal notes is included, which requires you to express yourself well in both spoken and written Swedish.

The placement period at Riddarnäset has clear goals and purposes. Therefore, you plan and carry out structured activities together with the young people, both individually and in groups. This means that you participate in both theoretical and practical activities.

Qualifications

We are looking for someone with education as a treatment pedagogue/assistant or other education that the employer deems equivalent, or relevant work experience.

As a person, you find it easy to build relationships with young people. You are flexible, proactive, and have good stress tolerance. The work can be demanding at times, which requires calmness, stability, and endurance.

You have good knowledge of Swedish, both spoken and written, and a B driver's license.

It is advantageous if you have experience working in HVB homes, experience working in environments where different cultures and approaches meet, and knowledge of substance abuse, neuropsychiatry, and psychosocial treatment methods for young people.

Conditions

Working hours are scheduled for days, evenings, and weekends. Some on-call and standby duty is included. Night shifts are purely night passes.

The permanent position is 100%.

The summer substitutes are required for 4-8 weeks during the summer period.

To work with us, a valid extract from the police's suspicion and criminal record for HVB homes is required.
