Job Description

Take the opportunity to try an interesting summer position as a treatment assistant at SiS.

The goal of your assignment is to motivate our youth to new and less risky ways of living. As a treatment assistant, you will help ensure that the routines in the department function as they should. You play a significant role in providing stability and security for our youth and clients, and you are responsible for the basics of daily life such as schooling, cleaning, cooking, and more. You will contribute to maintaining safety in the institution according to our routines. Documentation is an important part of your work. You will work on building good treatment relationships and help ensure that our youth and clients receive the security and safety they need to break old habits. Together with your team of dedicated colleagues, such as treatment educators and treatment coordinators, you have the opportunity to achieve good results and contribute to change. The job is often demanding but also stimulating, joyful, and varied.

The working hours are according to a schedule of days, evenings, and weekends.

As a summer substitute at SiS, you will undergo a tailored introductory training to prepare you for your assignment.

Qualifications

You should have:

• Completed and approved high school education
• Driver's license B
• Very good Swedish in speech and writing, as the work may involve some documentation and contact with other authorities
• Experience in youth-related work or work with people in vulnerable life situations, e.g., from psychiatry, HVB operations, or from care and nursing.
• At least a 2-year post-secondary education at a folk high school or vocational college (KY/YH) or other education equivalent to this. The education should be focused on social work, social pedagogy, behavioral science, or another relevant subject area.*

*Exceptions from the requirement for at least two years of post-secondary education may be made in individual cases if there are special reasons according to Chapter 5, Section 4 of the Social Services Ordinance (2025:468).

Meritorious:

• Experience working with our target group boys aged 16-21 years.

You have good communication skills and can maintain your calm even in stressful situations. The position is a fixed-term employment from approximately week 25 to week 32.
