The Medical Department in Ystad is under construction – and we are looking clearly ahead. We are focusing on stable care flows, strong teamwork, and a safe working environment where both patients and staff can develop. The hospital in Ystad is an emergency hospital operating around the clock with a broad mandate in both emergency and planned care. As a medium-sized hospital, we have short decision-making paths, close collaboration between professions, and good opportunities to influence operations.

The Medical Department belongs to the emergency and medicine area. With us, patients are primarily cared for from the emergency room and acute care unit, but also directly from home, for further investigation and treatment. Our largest patient group is multi-sick adults, but we work broadly within the entire internal medicine field.

The department is currently a smaller unit under construction with a goal of 14 internal medicine care places. We work in teams and are in an active development phase where structure, clarity, and long-term sustainability are in focus. Our work is characterized by a safe, trust-based, and present leadership – and a clear direction forward.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

We now welcome new nursing assistants to the Medical Department in Ystad.

As a nursing assistant with us, you are a key person in patient-centered care. Together with the team, you are responsible for ensuring that patients receive good, safe, and individualized care. The work is done in close collaboration with nurses, doctors, and other professionals.

Your tasks include, among other things:

• basic and specific nursing care
• sampling and EKG
• catheter placement and wound dressing
• preventive nursing measures
• support for the patient's participation and understanding of their illness

With us, we help each other across team boundaries, plan work together, and work structured with clear routines. You will have the opportunity to help shape working methods around person-centered care and actively contribute to the department's continued development. Our unit responsible nurses and clinical specialists are available as close support in everyday life.

We offer a work-adapted schedule. In this ad, we primarily seek those who want to work during the day, but if you have an interest or wish to work both day and night, there is room for discussion.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for someone who is a trained nursing assistant and meets the National Board of Health and Welfare's requirements for protected professional title, regardless of whether you have studied according to previous or current program structure. Good language skills in Swedish, both spoken and written, are a requirement.

It is an advantage if you have:

• experience in hospital care or emergency care
• experience with the Melior journal system

You thrive in a team, contribute with engagement, and have a positive attitude towards change and development. You meet patients and relatives with respect, attentiveness, and professionalism. If you have an interest in pedagogy and mentoring, that is a great plus. We place great emphasis on personal suitability.
