About the Job

Are you the one who makes it possible to stay at home? We are now looking for nursing assistants for Gårdavägen South Home Care.

We operate from our premises at Skånegatan 11, which we share with another home care unit.

Working in elderly care gives you the opportunity to contribute to joy and well-being. The goal is for the care recipients to have meaningful days, where you provide good care and social support. You will have the opportunity to develop in your professional role while making a difference for those we serve. Our operations run every day, which means that working hours include days, evenings, and weekends.

Working in home care means that you support and assist the care recipient in their own home based on approved services. You travel to the individual's home on foot or by bicycle. Your work includes practical assistance with personal hygiene and care, support during meals, activities, laundry, cleaning, and more. You will also perform health and medical tasks according to instructions and delegation from a nurse. The job also includes being a primary care contact. All documentation is done digitally.

As a nursing assistant in home care, you will have a varied job where you contribute to a dignified and meaningful life.

About You

Requirements:

• We are looking for someone who is a trained nursing assistant, can show the National Board of Health and Welfare's certificate of protected professional title, or can demonstrate that you were employed as a nursing assistant when the new regulations were introduced
• Good knowledge of the Swedish language in both spoken and written form

Meritorious:

• Experience from care and support work
• Experience working with people with mental health issues
• Driver's license (B)
• Ability to cycle and willingness to use a bicycle for work

As a nursing assistant in home care, you show respect and consideration for those you meet in your professional role. The needs of the care recipient are the starting point for your actions. Your communication is an important part of your work as you inform colleagues about important events, have conversations with care recipients, and need to document.

Work in home care consists largely of independent work and personal responsibility, but you also work together with your colleagues with the care recipient's best interests in focus. The tasks vary based on the needs of the care recipient, so it is important that you can adapt yourself and your working methods based on changing conditions.
