About our open position

At MAVA, we build a sustainable working environment where both employees and patients come first. To strengthen our operations and enhance patient safety, we are now increasing our staffing during night shifts.

With us, you will receive a secure introduction, guidance, and continuing education in a welcoming environment. You will have the opportunity to grow into your role as a nurse alongside the team. As a nurse in our department, you will work with varied tasks. You will have the chance to participate in specialized acute care alongside competent doctors, nursing staff, and pharmacists. We place great emphasis on further development both internally and through universities. You will be part of a fantastic workgroup where the sense of belonging is high.

The position is a permanent employment. Working hours are scheduled from 21:15 to 07:15 with shifts approximately every third weekend.

About us

As a nurse with us at MAVA, you will work night shifts with responsibility for a maximum of ten patients, even during overcapacity. This creates a sustainable workload, a safe working environment, and high patient safety. With us, you will have good opportunities for professional development through structured introduction, internal training, and continuous learning within the team.

Currently, we have 28 care places divided into four teams during the day and three teams at night. The care consists of taking care of patients with expected short hospital stays. We care for patients with varying medical needs, from young individuals to multi-sick elderly patients who have fallen ill acutely. MAVA is a great department to develop in, for both newly graduated and experienced nurses, and is a popular department among students. A Senior Nurse is present during the day to support and develop our department.

MAVA has an Educational Unit (UVE), which means we have a close collaboration with Borås University and receive 12 nursing students each semester. The students are supervised in pairs during daytime.

Your profile

We are looking for someone with a Swedish nursing license and at least four months of experience in the profession. As a person, you are welcoming, driven, and work with care and respect towards both patients and colleagues. In our acute care unit, it is important that you can work both independently and as part of a team. We value a strong desire to learn and develop. We are keen to find the right person for the position, and therefore, great importance will be placed on personal suitability.
