About Us

Welcome to an organization where you will work in an exciting environment alongside various professional categories.

At Ward 52, patients with breast cancer, thyroid cancer, anal cancer, gastrointestinal tumors, and unknown primary tumors are cared for. The treatments provided during the hospital stay mainly include radiation, chemotherapy, and radionuclide therapy, both for curative and palliative purposes. We also care for patients with symptoms resulting from the cancer disease or treatment, and some are cared for until the end of life. Patients may experience a variety of issues during their illness, both from the disease and treatment, and they often have complex care needs, with great emphasis placed on providing good care for both the patient and their relatives.

We work interprofessionally and have close collaboration with various professional categories such as nurses, doctors, secretaries, dietitians, physiotherapists, occupational therapists, psychologists, and hospital chaplains.

We are looking for someone who is confident in their professional role, passionate about care, and enjoys both independent work and teamwork, while also being flexible and able to make decisions. Together we create the conditions for the best possible care and treatment of our patients.

About the Position

As an employee with us, you will have the opportunity to take a chemotherapy course, and upon completion, you will receive a chemotherapy license. We also provide internal training in radiation protection before working with radionuclide therapy. Assistant nurses and nurses work together with shared responsibility for a group of patients during the work shift. Our assistant nurses have significant care responsibilities, and there is room for development within specific tasks.

About You

We are looking for you who are an assistant nurse with a focus on acute care in your education. It is an advantage if you have training and/or several years of experience in oncological care. Great emphasis will be placed on personal qualities such as the ability to work independently, flexibility, and interest in working with people in vulnerable life situations.

This means that you will need a certificate from the National Board of Health and Welfare to use the title of assistant nurse within healthcare and social services.
