About the Unit:

The Employment and Establishment Unit operates under the Board for Employment and Welfare and is responsible for refugee reception. The unit is also responsible for financial assistance and labor market initiatives. To best meet the Nacka residents who need temporary support through financial assistance, we are convinced that a clear working method is required, focusing on finding pathways to self-sufficiency as quickly and efficiently as possible. The goal is to prevent and reduce unemployment, where every person in work is a win.

The unit is driven by development; we continuously update our work processes for both financial assistance, establishment, and integration to meet citizens' needs. The unit consists of 38 employees who form a stable, incredibly welcoming, and inclusive workgroup - a dream team!

Your Mission:

We are looking for someone who wants to work as a social worker within the financial assistance operations. The role involves continuously investigating, following up, and making decisions on applications for financial assistance. You will also provide statements to the administrative court in appeal cases.

As a social worker within the financial assistance operations, you are responsible for following up on labor market initiatives in collaboration with social workers for self-sufficiency.

Is this you?

We are looking for someone who has:

• A degree in social work or a similar higher education is required.
• Experience in governmental authority and administrative work or from work with financial assistance.

As a person, you are:

• Meticulous and solution-focused.
• Have a structured working method and enjoy making independent assessments while collaborating in a team.
• Proactive and have a positive attitude, even when things are busy.
• Value diversity in all ways and have the ability to see opportunities and convey hope to people in crisis and/or with complex life situations.
• Have excellent communication skills in both speech and writing.

The temporary position starts on May 1, 2026, and lasts for one year.
